Can be assigned to work on Colorado Department of Transportation highway construction projects anywhere in the state, but most likely in the eastern half of the state (CDOT Regions 1, 2, 4 and 6). Work typically will include meetings with contractors, inspection of construction activities, documentation. Position will report directly to a CDOT Project Engineer or other individual that has overall responsibility for the administration of a project. Must be flexible in terms of work hours and willing to temporarily relocate to project locations. Per diem and lodging will be paid if applicable and approved by client.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of actual highway construction experience on Colorado Department of Transportation projects. A current certification as a Worksite Traffic Supervisor and Erosion Control Supervisor are required. Must have or be able to obtain certifications in basic highway math, basic highway surveying and basic highway plan reading. Depending on specific assignments, candidates should also have CAPA Asphalt Inspection Certification, WAQTC (embankments), ACI (concrete) and CDOT Site Manager.
