JFSA has conducted siting and permitting studies for new and existing electrical transmission and substation facilities. A preferred alternative is selected through a comparison process based on cost, environmental and technical constraints, and public and agency input. Conducted site surveys, prepared plat maps, grading plans, and landscape plans for county and city special use permits. Created enterprise level GIS databases and cartographic mapping. Prepared evaluations of the visual effect of a project on the character of the area. Public involvement begins early on in the project and is carried throughout the project to include hearing before planning commission and elected officials.
