Hogback Parking Facility

JFSA was responsible for preparing the Environmental Assessment (with extensive public involvement) and design for this multifaceted project, which combined site development with roadway design. While providing an additional 500-stall parking facility, the JFSA team met many challenges such as: realignment of US-40 to introduce proper progression spacing between its existing intersection with SH-26 and the I-70 westbound ramps, steep terrain requiring significant retaining walls and elaborate drainage/water quality systems, and a balanced lighting design - safe for users but not bleeding out into the surroundings.
