J.F. Sato and Associates is the prime consultant
for the design of a new bridge over Big Dry Creek at 144th
and about 5000 feet of roadway improvements. JFSA performed
the hydraulic studies to determine the opening and height of the bridge. A CLOMR is being prepared. Since the original
FEMA and UDFCD models were not available in this reach, JFSA
recreated these models using field survey data. JFSA also
reviewed the hydrology on this basin to resolve a discrepancy
between two earlier studies. We designed the storm sewer system
and water quality features needed for this project. A new
crossing was designed for the German Ditch, complete with
a screened intake and bypass and improvements for ditch access
and O&M personnel.
