J.F. Sato and Associates is the prime consultant for improvements to 4-miles of I-70. JFSA was tasked with developing a basin model using EPA SWMM5.0 to evaluate the adequacy of the existing cross drainage structures, particularly a triple cell 9 x 4 CBC. The model was prepared in sufficient detail to evaluate several options, including detention that allowed an optimization of materials and reduction in construction costs. JFSA completed the hydrologic and hydraulic analyses on over 50 culverts and boxes in this reach.
